7:1

有法利賽人和几個從耶路撒冷來的經學士聚集來見耶穌﹔

Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

7:2

他們曾看見他的門徒有人用俗污的手、就是沒有洗的手、吃飯。

And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

7:3

﹝原來法利賽人、其實所有的猶太人、都執守著前人（同詞︰長老）的傳統規矩，若不仔細洗手（有古卷︰若不常常洗手），就不吃﹔

For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, holding the tradition of the elders.

7:4

從市場上來，若不洗一洗（同詞︰洗禮）也不吃︰他們所領受而執守的還有許多別的，例如杯、罐、銅器之洗濯等﹞。

And when they come from the market, except they wash, they eat not. And many other things there be, which they have received to hold, as the washing of cups, and pots, brasen vessels, and of tables.

7:5

這些法利賽人和經學士就詰問耶穌說︰「你的門徒為什么不照前人的傳統規矩行，卻用俗污的手吃飯呢？」

Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

7:6

耶穌對他們說︰「以賽亞指著你們假冒為善的人傳講神言，傳得不錯﹔照經上所記載的說︰『這人民用咀唇尊敬我，他們的心卻遠離我︰

He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

7:7

他們徒然敬拜我，將人的誡律當教條教訓人』。

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

7:8

他們撇棄了上帝的誡命，執守著人的傳統規矩。」

For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

7:9

他又對他們說︰「你們很聰明地廢棄了上帝的誡命，為要遵守（有古卷作︰立）自己的傳統規矩！

And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

7:10

因為摩西說過︰『要孝敬你的父親和母親』﹔又說︰『誹謗父親或母親的、必須死』﹔

For Moses said, Honour thy father and thy mother; and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death:

7:11

你們倒說︰『人若對父親或母親說，你可由我得益之物、已經用做『各耳板』了，就是說、用做獻神的禮物了，

But ye say, If a man shall say to his father or mother, It is Corban, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; he shall be free.

7:12

你們就再不容他對父親或母親作什么孝敬的事。

And ye suffer him no more to do ought for his father or his mother;

7:13

這就藉著你們所傳授的、你們的傳統規矩、以取消上帝的話了！你們還作了許多這樣相類的事呢。」

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

7:14

耶穌又叫了群眾來，對他們說︰「你們眾人要聽我，要曉悟﹔

And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:

7:15

從人外面進他里面去的、沒有一樣能使他俗污﹔惟獨從人心里出來的、才能使人俗污。」

There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.

7:16

（有古卷加︰『人若有耳可聽，就應當聽』）

If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

7:17

耶穌離開群眾，進了屋子，他的門徒將這比喻詢問他。

And when he was entered into the house from the people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable.

7:18

耶穌就對他們說︰「連你們也是這樣蒙昧么？豈不了悟、凡從外面進入人的、并不能使他俗污么？

And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

7:19

因為不是進了他的心，乃是入了他的肚子，又放出來到廁所里，使各樣食物都化淨了。」

Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

7:20

他又說︰「從人心里出來的、那才能使人俗污呢。

And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.

7:21

因為從里面、從人心里、發出來的有惡念、淫亂、偷竊、凶殺、

For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

7:22

奸淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、邪蕩、小心眼兒、毀謗、狂傲、愚妄︰

Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

7:23

這一切惡都是從人心里出來，并且能使人俗污。」

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

7:24

耶穌從那里起身，往推羅的境界去。進了一家，不愿意人知道﹔卻藏不住。

And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

7:25

隨即有一個婦人、她小女兒有污靈在身、聽見耶穌的事就來，拜倒在他腳前。

For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

7:26

這婦人是希利尼人，屬敘利非尼基族的。她求耶穌把鬼從她女兒身上趕出來。

The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

7:27

耶穌對她說︰「讓兒女們先吃飽了吧﹔因為拿女兒的餅丟給小狗、是不對的。」

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

7:28

婦人回答耶穌說︰「主阿，是的﹔就是桌子底下的小狗也吃孩子們的碎渣呀！」

And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

7:29

耶穌對她說︰「就因這句話你去吧﹔鬼已經從你女兒身上出來了。」

And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

7:30

于是她往她家去，見小孩子躺在床上，鬼已經出來了。

And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.

7:31

耶穌從推羅的境界回來，經過西頓，從十邑區（音譯︰低加波利）境界來到加利利海。

And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

7:32

有人帶著一個耳聾舌結的人來見耶穌，求他給他按手。

And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.

7:33

耶穌暗暗地領他離開群眾、到一邊去，就用指頭放進他的兩耳中，吐唾沫點觸他的舌頭，

And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

7:34

望天嘆息，對他說︰「以法大！」就是說︰「敞開吧！」

And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.

7:35

他的耳朵就開了，他舌頭的結立刻解放了，說話也清楚了。

And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.

7:36

耶穌叮囑他們不要告訴人﹔但是他越叮囑他們，他們越宣傳。

And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;

7:37

眾人分外地驚駭說︰「各樣事他都作得好﹔居然使聾子能聽見，使不能說話的人也能說話了！」

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
